Watchdog - How the BBC See the YLoD

WATCHDOG

WATCHDOG

In September 2009, the BBC's Watchdog program ran a piece about the PS3's reliability and Sony's lack of desire to provide free repairs after 12 months. Despite the BBC effectively proving that the majority of PS3 faults were cured by the motherboard reflow procedure (as explained on this site) Sony flatly refused to admit it was an inherant fault, and suggested there was a much wider range of reasons that your PS3 could stop working.

This program caused backlash from both Sony and PS3 owners alike - you can see some responses on our forum.
